A Randori Card Game

by on November 21, 2012

Things have been somewhat slow at our Monday evening practices lately. Eric and Janine, who we have been very fortunate to train with for the past couple of years, are currently traveling, and no one is sure when or if they might be back.

Practices have been down to two or three of us the past couple of weeks, but we’re still learning and having fun. However, there will be fewer videos of our experiments for a while. Chad would be the obvious candidate for uke, but, due to his occupation as a super hero, we cannot reveal his face onscreen. Danny is enthusiastic and dedicated, but he is just beginning, and it would be unfair to him to make him be uke.

So I’ve got some more videos planned, but they will be on things like ukemi, ruminations, and perhaps some tournament footage.

For now here’s a quick one on a randori game we’ve been playing at the end of practices. It’s a nice way to keep everyone on their toes.

Speaking of training methods, look what I found:

Also, someone’s having fun over at Okie-do. I can’t wait to see the hikiotoshi post.
