Exciting breakthroughs

by on December 14, 2011

I just got back from a fantastic practice. We spent the whole class working on the kotegaeshi trick I mentioned earlier, and we made a really exciting breakthrough. This is so big that it now seems slap-your-forehead obvious. The technique we ended up with is not the one that I had initially set out to find, but we can already see that the principal from this is going to apply in lots of other situations. Eric’s going to edit the video and we should have it up before too long. We haven’t mastered the principal by any means, but it’s already paying dividends, and it’s opening up a whole lot of new tangents to explore. Exciting stuff.
